When I'm on the hunt for a thrift store score, I've usually got my nose buried deep in the racks of clothes. This time though, this small clock caught my eye. Moving has given me a chance to redecorate and this clock matches a small heart shaped pewter box my grandmother gave me a long time ago.
This now has me on the prowl for the rest of my bedroom. While I love strong vibrant colors for the living areas of the house, I like bedrooms to be more calm and restful. I have two obligatory colors I must stick with which is the deep brown of the large furniture pieces and the strong red of some incredible drapes we were gifted and which I can't afford to replace. I've put together two selections of colors and wanted to get your fabulous input.
Color scheme option #1
Color scheme option #2
What do you guys think? I personally, favor option #2. Something about both of them, seems to go really well with the pewter piece my grandmother gave me and my new thrift store score. Do you have a selection of colors you think would go better?

Very nice and bargain.

That is a lovely clock - my eye goes to no one from an outfit fashion point of view but interior decor for a bedroom i think no 2 would be fabulous x

I'm all for #2. I love mint green generally, but in rooms it makes me feel like I'm in a doctor's office.

Wow. that is a beautiful piece. and what a steal too!!! I really like green, so I was thinking #1, but.... if it's in a bedroom, I'm thinking #2 would be better!
ReplyDeleteFabulous ♥ I'd go for 2 as well :)

I love both options! And even though I am a "pink kind of girl", I might have to say that I prefer the first option. There is just something about green this season that I really love. And I think it stands out more than the pink shades, especially next to the red. But like I said, both options are lovely - you can't go wrong! ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnd that little clock is so pretty, great find!

I like color scheme 2! Very pretty!
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful find! i love option 1, but they both are great!
ReplyDeleteI love the sweet little clock, it was such a good find! I'm so addicted to thrifting, I feel like I need to go everyday because I might miss out on something amazing if I don't. I prefer color option number 2, it seems very intimate and peaceful.
