I had a lovely lunch with my friend this weekend. They treated me to an amazing pizza experience at Soho in Christchurch. It was a really great treat to have such a wide variety of artisan pizza's to choose from. I had the Grecian Gourmet.

It had Feta cheese, sweet potatoes, spinach and cashew nuts
with a pesto dressing. It was really yummy.

This is not a paid advertisement. I just liked their food. The place is pretty popular though so I would thoroughly recommend booking a table instead of just showing up, otherwise you might not get a table without a long wait. For those who are in the area and would like to see more of what food and drink options they have, here's their menu.
I would have never thought of sweet potatoes on pizza, but now I want to try. I'm happy you're getting a good dose of good food lately. I thought you might go crazy at one point. :)
ReplyDeleteYou and me both. I get tired of cooking sometimes. I love detoxing and taking care of myself but it is really nice when you can take a step out of it and just let it all hang loose for a minute.
ReplyDeleteMmmh, it looks great! So colourful!! *yummy*

Whoa, that looks DIVINE!!!
ReplyDeleteI was just in Greece, and didn't see anything like that LOL
ReplyDeleteAwww, shucks. I bet you had some really special foods while you were in Greece didn't you? What were some of your favorites?
ReplyDeleteGee wiz where do you live?! I just saw the post of that coffee shop place, looks so super cool! Wish I could meet you there! AH!
ReplyDeleteActually the food in Greece just wasn't that great. I had a lot of greek salads, which were tasty, but I 'm not a meat eater, so that didn't help. And I don't eat fish, so there ya go!
we had an amazing wonderful time in Greece though, I am mourning our time there!!!
I am a massive greek foodie. (I think hehehe) I can't speak for authenticity since I've never been but I really love things like stuffed grape leaves, humus, olives, pita bread, goats cheese, roasted bell peppers. Spanakopita is one of the first ways I ever had spinach and liked it. I adore a good spanakopita. I don't know how "Greek" those are in truth but I adore them!
ReplyDeleteGreetings! This looks delicious. I LOVE sweet potatoes and never would have thought to add it to Pizza. I'm sure it was YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!! And the wine doesn't look too bad either! ;)
ReplyDeleteBest,
Gloria
