I had the weirdest dream last night! I was in Seattle and was leaving on a flight later in the day but first, I had to finish my mission. You see, in this dream, I was invited to a "Lanvin" store opening. (As if!) I'm going through all kinds of obstacles in pursuit of my goal of getting to this store opening, including riding a motorcycle (which I haven't a clue how to do), navigating the most hideous Seattle traffic jams (which is pretty much par for the course if you know anything about Seattle and it's traffic), and falling off unfinished sections of highway ramps only to be saved by another biker and his wife who shoved an extra large garment bin underneath me in time to catch me.
I arrived at North Gate Mall in Seattle (which I only managed to shop at ONCE in my entire time of living there. Sacrilege! I know) and manically fought my way through the crowds to the store front which was LATE to open for it's own Grand Opening. While waiting among the other general fashion lovers, I decided to chillax with the Kardashian sisters who were adjusting their make up. As I was staring longingly into the store windows, taking in the beauty that is Lanvin, I caught glimpses of other celebrities who were already inside getting to shop before the opening. I was scandalized for the Kardashians because they obviously hadn't been deemed worthy an invite and couldn't decide whether or not to tell them as the clock was ticking on my having to depart for the airport.
Suddenly, my brain caught on to a faint but rapid "clomp, clomp, clomp" sound which seemed really familiar. "BANG!" the enthusiastic lifting of a toilet lid by my toddler, solved the mystery for my brain and woke me with a thudding rush of adrenaline. The saddest thing of all, was how I desperately tried to get back to sleep to resume the dream so that I could finally get into the Lanvin store. It's all about priorities after all. Thanks to my psychic connection with my husband, he somehow knew to get up and take care of the dream intruder and give me a fighting chance. But alas, it was a lost cause. I firmly blame Sandra for all of this.
Have you ever had a really intense dream about fashion? Let me rephrase that. Have you ever had a really intense dream about fashion that wasn't a dream about showing up somewhere naked? Please share!

What an odd dream! I'm loving your blog. It's beautiful! So happy I could finally access it! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha. I'm so with you, but tumblr is a much, much worse enabler. Speaking of bacon...you must try bacon wrapped dates. Salty and sweet, ooey gooey and carmalized, but with some crunch. Perfect. PS-Do you have a twitter?

ReplyDeleteI love this post! Strangely enough, I have never had a dream about fashion. At least not any that I can remember. I did have plenty of other odd dreams and I always try to get back into a nice dream if I wake up before its proper ending. But it never works!
ReplyDeleteAnd, by the way, those dresses are gorgeous!
Collar Me Beautiful
lol What a dream! I usually dream about shoes! That I'm in a store trying them on, they look good and fit well, but I can't afford them! So, it's not really a dream. More of a nightmare...
ReplyDeleteWhat a dream, goodness! haha.
