Car Chases and Culture

palace

I visited Beaulieu Palace over the weekend. There's some amazing history there and some really gorgeous cars. There were even some vehicles from the James Bond films. I definitely need the one with the fully automatic/automated machine gun mounted on the back. Oh come on! Like you wouldn't want one too!!

You'll have to forgive my photos. Some are with a camera but others are with my camera phone. If I'm totally honest, I was running around snapping pictures like a super hyper puppy with opposable thumbs. Not a pretty sight.

  1. Ugh, I am so jealous that you get to visit castles & palaces! How fabulous are you?! I'm not a huge car person, but I love anything that's even mildly historical, so this exhibit definitely still appeals to me. Thanks for sharing all your pictures.

  2. That castle is gorgeous!! Aaah, I love architecture like that. I'd love to opportunity to travel and see that. Actually, in Newport, RI there is, like, an area miles long with all castle/mansions.

And I spy the flying Ford Anglia?! YES!! lol :) Thanks for sharing!!

  3. Cool photos. I love visiting mansions, castles, palaces, and stuff like that. I'm going to be honest, when I first saw your photo of the Beaulieu Palace, I thought of Downton Abbey. LOL Have you seen that show? I'm addicted. If you haven't, I guess that a good thing, but if you want another addiction, go watch it. LOL

  6. I love Beaulieu SO much. They do an antiques fair too, I'm hoping to visit soon. I think my London friends get so bored of me telling them how amazing the New Forest/ Bournemouth is, I think they think I should probably just move back. Hehehe
Thank you so much for my lovely comment on my blog, so kind. xx

My five posts about the Carnival worth it because I received this comment, Rachel! You said ecxatly what I was wainting for! The Carnival is about art, criativity and happyness… Things that were lost in my mind! because of that I was hating Carnival!!

Thank you so much, Rachel! You are really precious for me and for my humble blog!

The dress in the previous post is so stunning!!!!!

  8. I would love to live in a mansion (or a castle, ideally) and drive some jalopies (all in pastel colors) all around my manor and to town one day. And snack on macarons EVERY SINGLE DAY. not much to ask for, right? :)

    LOVELY photos, Rachel!

  9. Can you take me there? I love some old cars and racy history (no pun intended). It looks like so much fun. And you know I would want a machine gun. Come on.
