Fashion is Back to Black

I'm always looking for fashion inspiration from the runways. From Spring to Fall this year, I noticed black was a strong and steady presence in a lot of collections. Daring silhouettes, contrasting textures, and luscious materials were what made them special for me.

From Spring collections through Fall collections white was a winning color this year. If you're ready to welcome sun and warmer temperatures, what better way than to pull out your whites? Unless you're like me and don't necessarily have any. After a little poking around I've found some fabulous options for all sizes that will get you all the way through 2012. Once the temp's start to drop, clever layering with white knits, tights or trousers reminiscent of Sonia Rykiel's Fall 2012 collection will take these pieces even further.

Side bar all you fabulous fashionistas. I need you to sound off on this. Zara has these fabulous glitter leggings for everyone to wear. I would love to hear your thoughts on whether or not this:

equates the same thing. Are tights the same as leggings? If you see someone on the street wearing these glitter tights as trousers/leggings, what would your reaction be? This is what I saw this morning dropping my kids off for school. A mother, dropping her kid off at school, wearing glitter tights as trousers. I'm talking full view people. The shirt stopped just above the hips. Personally, it was way too freaking early in the morning to be seeing something like that without having had a cup of coffee. What are your thoughts? Am I just a prude or is this just too far? Let me hear your thoughts!
