Swan Lake

Swan Lake by the Moscow City Ballet at LightHouse, Poole's Center for the Arts.

It was fantastic. The principle dancers of the Moscow City Ballet are phenomenal as are several of the soloists. Seriously, when Prince Seigfried went to the lake and met the enchanted girl/swan Odette and fell in love, the choreography was just about heartbreakingly beautiful.

Last evening was their final performance of Swan Lake but they'll be presenting The Nutcracker at the same location through Feb 26th. If you're in the area, it's well worth the ticket price.

Just some Ballet/Theatre etiquette reminders for some of us before I sign off.

1. No flash photography or video recording during the actual performance please. It's just rude.
If you want to take photos from this glorious experience because you have the memory of a goldfish, save it for the end.

2. If you have a cough that just isn't going away or your drink went down the wrong way, please climb over the people and make your way out of the theater or at the very least cover your mouth and PRETEND like you're trying to be quiet.

If you take these precautions, you can be pleasantly confident you won't have someone glaring at you while doing their best Hannibal Lecter impression. What? Well! It was irritating!
